Amazon Web Service uses the new FCBarcelona's web as case study

The web uses one of our main products as CMS: Ubiquo Sports.

We repeat experience with AWS because scaling, provisioning and security are very important for our customers and for us.

It's imperative, in a project like FCBarcelona's web, having a tool with which it's easy to deal with traffic spikes, so common in sports.

For interfacing with AWS, we are using Amazon S3, the AWS Ruby gems and the Amazon SDK for Java, among other AWS solutions.

XIP/TV opens site and uses Ubiquo as content manager

We have redesigned XIP/TV's website, the media distribution platform of the Xarxa Audiovisual Local (XAL), improving its performance and with a new video player which is compatible with HTML5 technology.

The website uses Ubiquo as content manager, which has been developed to enable cataloging, documenting and defining logical sections to videos while, in parallel, it performs the transcoding process. This minimizes the "wait time" and streamlines and automates the creation of content on the platform.

gnuine produces the new FC Barcelona's website

On Thursday November 3rd 2011, has been presented the new multilingual website of FC Barcelona. The web, the most visited of the Professional Football League, is available in 6 languages and emphasises media and live matches.

The club has trusted Ubiquo as content manager, which allows to work in different minisites and languages simultaneously, making easier the content's creation and its translation.

Through the stadistics service from Opta Company, site serves real-time data classifications and games in progress, allowing Ubiquo's users to add information about the match (ticket information, news, photos, videos...).

This project is designed to provide maximum flexibility and scalability in the growth of infrastructure: whether there is a lot of visits, specific events or if there is a need to increase demand infrastructure of the web, systems are scalable without compromising performance or user experience at any time.

All this infrastructure has been possible thanks to the services cloud of Amazon S3 and EC2.

Amazon Web Service uses a gnuine's project as case study

AWS (Amazon Web Service) has included as case study in its web the interactive elections project that gnuine has developed for La Vanguardia.

For this project, gnuine used the following solutions from Amazon Web Services (AWS): Amazon CloudFront as a content delivery network (CDN); Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) for static content with high refresh rates (config files); and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) for live and real time data, and as a source for Amazon CloudFront.

With these solutions, our team was able to set up the architecture in two days and used three additional days to perform load testing and make adjustments. During the event, in just a few hours, they served more than one billion requests and used more than 5.5 TB of bandwidth.
